Banned Book Review: Top 100 Banned Books of 2000-2009

October 4, 2012

I figured since the Banned Book Review is getting a spike in hits this week, I might as well do an updated list.  Also, this will help me with reading the new ones.  😀

Noteworthy: Goosebumps fell the farthest with a whopping 78 places.  Probably just a sign that these books are a bit dated.  And Bless Me Ultima moved up 43 places.  Over half of the books are new additions, though not all of them are necessarily new books.  I was most surprised to see Fahrenheit 451 was new to this list, mostly because I was sure it had been on the previous one.  Apparently not.  I’ve already read at least 4 of the new additions, so hey!  I’m already halfway through the list!  Finally, I think it is quite possible I’m going to be spending a lot of time hanging out in the children’s section of my local book store.  All of the books I can’t find at the library are the kids books.  Dear local book store:  I am not a perv, I promise.
